We redefined the identity system for Superlocal's 2025 edition, an annual festival that fosters connections and seeks to showcase the design ecosystem in Uruguay. The challenge was to create a proposal capable of embracing change as part of its essence, and that could be renewed edition after edition without losing its meaning or recognition.
We approached identity as an open and evolving system, capable of absorbing change and making it visible. The design process was collaborative: we integrated their organizing team and leading designers into exchange, discussion, and creative sessions. Formally, we combined manual and analog processes with digital tools, which lent character, materiality, and uniqueness to the visual system.
We developed Identidad en Flor, a flexible and expansive visual system inspired by solar cycles and native flora. Starting with the universe created in 2024, we transformed the Sun of May into native flowers, symbolizing a diverse, dynamic, and continuously growing creative community. The identity blossoms with each edition, embracing the local from a grounded, contemporary, and technology-aware, and positioning design as a collective, regenerative, and culturally transformative practice.
Superlocal consolidates an identity that evolves without losing its essence. Each edition introduces a new stage, expanding the system and reinforcing its recognition. A living language, capable of representing design as a collective practice, in motion and in continuous growth.
